Tanby Turf has been established since 1989 and originally grew couch grass. Now, under the management of David Scott and as the result of several years of research, the couch has gone and Tanby Turf is proud to be growing grass varieties that are low maintenance and suitable for our climate, including times of drought.
David’s aim is to sell grasses that look good, can deal with sun and shade, and are environmentally friendly. This means they have low water use, low fertilizer use and low mowing requirements.
When you deal with TANBY TURF for your garden needs you can be sure you are buying turf that has been grown here in Central Queensland, on our farm at Kinka Beach Road, Tanby.
David encourages people to visit the farm and look at the grasses available but give us a quick call before you come. You can arrange to pick the turf up, have it delivered, or get us to lay it for you. If you want to do it yourself but haven’t got a trailer then you can borrow ours.
